With over 25 years of experience in bariatric surgery, Dr. Kenneth Warnock has a passion and commitment to the relief of obesity. He plays an active role in every step of patient care, before, during, and after surgery.
He has established multiple bariatric support groups for his patients in Texas and Oklahoma, and performs 400 bariatric cases per year. His patients come from as far away as Greece and Alaska to receive excellent, comprehensive bariatric treatment.
Dr. Warnock is the founder of Bariatrics of Texas in Wichita Falls, Texas. He is also Director of Bariatric Surgery and Section Chief of General Surgery at United Regional Health Care System (URHCS). He is a designated Center of Excellence surgeon by the American Society for Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery and is ranked in the top 5% of bariatric surgeons in the US (Association for Morbid Obesity Support).
He received his medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Denver, Colorado, then completed his residency in general surgery and bariatrics at Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, Texas.
Dr. Warnock is board certified in general
surgery and specializes in general, vascular,
and bariatric surgery. He is a member of

Dr. Warnock was born and raised
on a ranch in the Bighorn Mountains of Wyoming.
His traditional western values are apparent
in his walk, his talk, and everything he does
right down to the boots that he wears everyday.
While living in Texas over the past 30 years,
he has become fluent in Spanish and makes a
special effort to relate to patients of all
backgrounds.
He is married to a former chemistry
teacher, and they have nine children. He is
an avid reader and enjoys bicycling, boating,
hunting, fishing, playing the piano, dancing,
and singing. His favorite time is spent with
his children and grandchildren.
